Spotlight on Success: October 2019

Issaquah Schools Foundation

Foundation News & Events

From the Director

Our heartfelt thoughts are with the Beirer & Beatty families and the entire Skyline High School community.  This sad and tragic loss of another one of our students reminds us of how precious life is and the importance of coming together to help one another in time of need.

The Foundation is passionate about supporting the well being of the whole child and in providing a safe environment for our children to learn, grow and thrive.  We are committed to join with our community partners to address mental and behavioral health, drug, alcohol and substance abuse in our school.

Sending our warm thoughts of love and strength to the families affected and to the Skyline Spartans community during this difficult time.

Wishing you peace and healing,

Cornell Atwater, Executive Director

Calling All Volunteers!

Lend us a hand?

The PTA Art Docent program teaches art lessons to elementary school students in the Issaquah School District. These volunteers give over 7000 hours a year to make sure our students experience art. The Artistic Support program, supported by your gifts to the Foundation, offers this annual event and monthly classes for art docents.  Support our district's art docents by volunteering at the Artistic Support Conference.

Your time and energy will help make their day a success. Volunteers who volunteer for at least two hours, not only get to feel great about supporting art in our school district; they also get to come to the conference for free and get a free breakfast or lunch depending on your volunteer time. We are looking for adults and responsible youth. Students can earn community service hours. This conference will take place at Gibson Ek High School. 379 1st Place SE, Issaquah WA 98027   Sign Up Here!
