Spotlight on Success: September 2019

Issaquah Schools Foundation

Step Up for Kids this Fall!

Welcome back to the 2019-2020 school year! Since 1987, households like yours have been impacting the lives of more than 20,500 Issaquah School District students by donating to the Issaquah Schools Foundation.

Issaquah Schools Foundation is an important resource at all 24 schools  supporting programs like after school academic programs, robotics, dedicated fine arts, Cultural Bridges, basic student needs and homework help!  We also provide grants to teachers and schools that benefit every student and every school in the district.

Your donations give students opportunities to explore and cultivate their interests, thrive academically and graduate with the skills they need for rewarding and productive futures. Step Up for Kids and donate to our fall campaign HERE.

Program Spotlight: Tools4School

Thank You!

Thank you to everyone who donated to our Tools4School program.  With your generous gift of backpacks and school supplies we had a very successful distribution event in August and over 1,000 students across the Issaquah School District-who would otherwise be unprepared for the first day of class-are able to walk in the door ready to learn.

Throughout the school year, the Foundation will continue to accept requests from schools for additional supplies for families who arrive mid-year and need financial support. None of this would be possible without your support.

Come and Dine for Kids this Fall!

Save the date!

Thanks to everyone that came out to to Dining for Kids at The RAM on Wednesday - September 4th.  Put these upcoming dates on your calendar!

VOICE Mentor Program Update

VOICE Mentor Program transitions to the Issaquah School District

Over the past 15 years, the Issaquah Schools Foundation is proud to have seeded, nurtured, and grown the VOICE (Volunteers Of Issaquah Changing Education) mentoring program. We want to share that with the success of this program, VOICE has transitioned from the Foundation to the Issaquah School District this school year. Because of YOU - our volunteers, donors and Foundation staff, VOICE has helped over 1000 students, and continues to impact hundreds of students each year with over 300 mentors.

If you've been involved with the VOICE mentor program in the past, you will experience very little, if any, change in how things are managed. There will be no disruption of matches during this transition, and any changes will continue to be communicated promptly regarding operations of the program. If you have any questions about this change please phone or email VOICE at 425-837-7222 or  VOICE@issaquah.wednet.edu.
