Lawrie Robertson

Lawrie grew up in Seattle as the fortunate child of highly educated parents who instilled an ethic to serve others, pass forward support for public education as a pathway to opportunity, and take action to assure all lives matter. Vocationally, Lawrie is the retired Assistant Dean for Administration at the UW School of Public Health, the former Division Administrator for the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, and previously held several non-profit executive positions in Seattle, Omaha and Syracuse. Lawrie currently serves as a V.O.I.C.E. Mentor at the Issaquah Middle School, Chairs the Foundation’s Human Resources Committee, serves on its Major Gifts Committee, and is active within the Seattle-King County Public Health Reserve Corps.  Lawrie’s wife, Gwen, is serving in her 35-season as Issaquah High’s Head Cross Country Coach. Board, commission and committee leadership experiences have included: chairing a United Way Panel; serving on both the Redmond Parks Board and its Planning Commission; chairing the East Sammamish Community Plan Advisory Committee; serving on the Society of Research Administrators International Board of Directors and as its Western Section President; and as two-time Olympic Competition Official. Lawrie seeks to draw upon these experiences to support opportunities for Issaquah student success and the Foundation’s administrative effectiveness.
