Join Alicia Spinner, our Cultural Bridges Manager, and Megha Mistra, one of our Student Trustees, as they share more about NEM and this week's focus on Equitable Access to Educational & Community Resources!

Hi, I am Alicia Spinner, Cultural Bridges Manager. I have the privilege to work every week with amazing families from our district, making sure all of them have the resources that their children need to succeed at school and thrive in our communities. I am honored to present to you this week some of the students and parents that we assisted this last year. Watch their videos and read their stories. They are excited to be included in this event and very thankful to our donors for their support! Join Echo, a Gibson Ek High School student, Naydeline, a graduate from Issaquah High School, and Yeni & Rita, Issaquah Valley Elementary parents as they share their stories with you!

Welcome to NEM Week 3, where our focus is on Equitable Access to Educational & Community Resources. We are excited to hear from YOU, our parents and community members! We invite you to share your experiences and questions by participating in our short, 10 question poll (available in English, Spanish and Chinese), so that we can work together toward building a vision of what support for our community’s kids will look like in the future! At the end of the week, the Issaquah Schools Foundation will share what we have heard, and answer some of your questions. We can't wait to hear what YOU have to say!

Complete our polls and be entered to win a $100 gift card valid for use at any Grand Ridge Plaza store, restaurant, or theatre!*

Alaina Sivadasan, Executive Director of Equity, and Lorna Gilmour, Family Partnerships Specialist, share their thoughts on our week 3 topic, Equitable Access to Educational & Community Resources. Alaina and Lorna share the gaps that they noticed working with families through the pandemic and how the district, in partnership with the Issaquah Schools Foundation, has supported our students' transition back into the classroom.

We ask, you answer! Each week we will provide a brief recap of what we have learned so far from our parent and community polls. We want to hear what you have to say! It’s never too late to participate as we will continue to gather information to share with you in our final week.
