Over $35k In Grants Awarded To Issaquah School District Classrooms & Students

Issaquah Schools Foundation

When we asked educators what resources could help them bring learning to life for students this year, they responded by applying for our Foundation Teacher Grants.  What was on the wish list of our 2021 grant awardees?

Here are some examples of what your support allowed us to fund this year:

  • The ability to pilot an online resource, Learning Ally, that provides access to assistive reading resources, such as audiobooks
  • Ukuleles for an elementary music program
  • Hands-on science experiences through resources such as skeleton puzzles and a “School of Toy” workshop for elementary students
  • INCREDIBLE Parents curriculum for ISD Health Counselors
  • Specialized counseling library books on topics such as grief, COVID-19, and resiliency
  • A hands-on Learning Interactive Touch Table for high school students
  • Resources for the new Transition K (for incoming kindergarteners) & the Dual Language Programs

Congratulations to this year's grant winners! In all, 15 grants totaling over $35,000 were awarded. Thank you for helping us fuel innovation that is delivered directly to our kids by our dedicated educators, counselors, and librarians.
