Robin Shen Feature

Issaquah Schools Foundation

Robin is a new board member with Issaquah Schools Foundation. He specializes in many aspects of technology and will be assisting the Foundation with our website and technical development. Under the Resource and Development umbrella, he helps us evaluate our current systems, consults us on IT matters (including Cyber Security), and incorporating technology to create innovative offerings for our students, teachers, and staff.

Robin is also a board member of another non-profit, the Chinese American Civic Association (https://cacaus.org/). The association works to acquire PPE (mostly protective masks) from China and donate to hospitals or those in need. So far, they have donated 3,280 masks to Evergreen Hospital, 3,000 to King County Sheriff department, 1,000 to Chinatown Kin On Health Care Center, plus many individual donations to neighborhood hospitals and clinics.

Robin is a person of action. It’s a key characteristic of our Board Members. Last Friday, within a few of hours of receiving the request, Robin was able to obtain 1,000+ Level 1 masks and donate them to our local partner, Issaquah Food & Clothing Bank.

Robin, a big thanks to you and the Chinese America Civic Association for your hard work in our community! We are lucky to have you with us at the Foundation.
