Cecilia joins the Issaquah Schools Foundation (“Foundation”) with deep roots in the Issaquah School District (“ISD”) as her two sons have moved through elementary school at Grand Ridge and Endeavour, onto Pacific Cascade Middle School and now at Issaquah High School. She deeply believes in the value of education and shares in the Foundation’s vision for limitless opportunities that inspire each student’s unique path to success.
Cecilia is a lifelong learner and feels passionately about education. She graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Commerce, then continued in law to obtain a LL.B and a LL.M, with a more recent academic pursuit as a Visiting Scholar at the University of Washington School of Law. She is a Canadian trained lawyer, with experience in both private practice and as in-house counsel prior to moving to the U.S. Beyond her legal practice since then, Cecilia has engaged in numerous volunteer roles, in the classroom, on PTSA Boards, as well as various ISD committees.
Cecilia is honored to have the opportunity in furthering her commitment and contribution to public education through the impactful work of the Foundation for the ISD community.
