Issaquah Schools Foundation donors fund programs across all 27 schools in the Issaquah School District, including at your student’s school.

Whether providing students access to extra help when they’ve fallen behind or need a boost, providing tools for students with learning challenges, or supplementing existing curricula to create a more robust and impactful learning experience, we know that building strong academic foundations and helping kids gain confidence in areas where they’ve struggled creates opportunity for lasting success and greater engagement in school.

A well-rounded educational experience is about much more than reading, writing, math, and science. To thrive, students need access to opportunities to discover new passions, deepen understanding in areas of study, find spaces of belonging, and engage in school outside of the classroom alone.

It’s nearly impossible for students to succeed in school, much less thrive, if they’re struggling to have their basic needs met or facing emotional or mental health challenges. Our funding helps address the whole child, removing obstacles that can keep students from taking advantage of opportunities presented to them at school.

Throughout our more than 35-year history, the Issaquah Schools Foundation has played an integral role in bringing quality art education to elementary students through our support of PTSA Art Docent programs. Each year, lesson plans from our library are downloaded and shared with volunteer docents and taught to K-5 students across our schools.

Navigating the US school system can feel impossible, especially if you aren’t from this country or didn’t experience it as a child. Today there are more than 1,200 students in the Issaquah School District receiving English Language Development Services and over 95 languages spoken by district families. Via Cultural Bridges, we provide a bridge to understanding for families, building relationships between them, their schools, and the broader Issaquah community.
