Local artists teach free classes to support volunteer Art Docents at every school in the Issaquah School District.
Through the Artistic Support program, the Issaquah Schools Foundation provides ongoing training and classes for volunteer Art Docents. Volunteer Art Docents throughout the Issaquah School District are invited to sign up for FREE lessons taught by talented local artists. These classes are intended for docents who are active in the classroom. When you leave you will have a lesson plan and your example to take back to school for sharing and teaching.
In addition to these classes, we hold an annual Artistic Support Conference to kick off each new school year. Usually scheduled in the fall, these fun days of interactive classes provide inspiration, instruction and an opportunity for Art Docents throughout the Issaquah School District to connect. Check back for dates and other enriching events.
