Adriana joined the ISF Board in 2023. While her career has been primarily in finance, she is also a passionate advocate for quality education and community engagement. Her commitment to education, children and families extends beyond ISF.
She volunteered for a number of years at Grand Ridge Elementary School both on PTSA and in the classroom. She was chair of the Box Tops of Education campaign and also contributed to enrichment programs such as Art Docent, Science Fair and Culture Fair. Taking part in these various endeavors has allowed her to make a difference in many areas, learn about the shortcomings of the current education system and find her true passion for equitable and high-quality education.
In the broader Issaquah community, she has also been an active volunteer and writer for the Issaquah Highlands Connections, and most recently an organizer of student volunteer groups at FISH (Friends of the Issaquah Salmon Hatchery). She is presently also an advisor for The Circle. All of these opportunities have allowed her to meet other service-minded individuals, and affirm her belief on the importance of helping others.
Adriana grew up in Bulgaria (Sofia), spent her last two years of high school in South Korea (Seoul), earned her undergraduate degree in finance and economics from Augsburg University in Minneapolis, MN, and her MBA from The Carlson School of Management at University of Minnesota. She worked for ~20 years in a variety of corporate finance roles in the airline, e-commerce, financial services, healthcare and retail industries. She, her husband and their two daughters moved to Issaquah in 2014 and enjoy taking advantage of all that the PNW offers in terms of entertainment, dining and hiking.
