The work of the Issaquah Schools Foundation is vital to the education, health and well-being of our entire community; its impact is enormous. Over the past few years, I have had the opportunity to work on various ISF committees, and that work has driven me to become a Board Trustee.
As a current Issaquah School District parent, former teacher, preschool director, ISD PTA President, and current small business owner committed to social-emotional learning skills of our children, my heart sits with the mission of the Foundation. I enjoy giving my time where my passion and background serves a greater purpose, and ISF is the right fit spot.
I grew up very close by on Mercer Island; I taught Kindergarten and preschool there as well. My husband and I met in Arizona while attending college at the University of Arizona. We have 2 children in the ISD, a current 5th grader and 7th grader. Our family spends much of our time at the baseball and softball fields, year-round. If I am not spectating on a field or volunteering for the schools, I am busy running my small business, FeelLinks. Most recently, my daughter and I co-authored a children’s book, the newest addition to the social-emotional resources I have already created for FeelLinks.
