Alison grew up in Maine and is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison. After college she relocated to Issaquah as her husband was working for Boeing. Their two daughters graduated from Issaquah High and both are currently attending college.
Alison has been a tireless and passionate advocate for public education, volunteering in many capacities over the years from PTSA Council President to the Foundation Board. Alison believes that the key to success of our schools lies in engaging the greater community. She has lobbied legislators on education policies/funding and worked on numerous Bond and Levy campaigns to ensure that our students have great schools. Alison was a member of the Chamber of Commerce and currently serves on the boards of Volunteers for Issaquah Schools and Eastside Education Network. While at the Foundation Alison has served on the All in for Kids Campaign Committee and is presently on two committees- Board Development & Governance and Program Oversight. Previously Alison has chaired Major Gifts, Corporate Development and is currently the Co-Chair of Alumni Outreach.
