Student Volunteer Opportunities
4 roles – ideally one from each high school • Flexible Hours • Remote and on-site • Great for students who enjoy connecting and have interest or experience in journalism
We are recruiting a Podcast team to help amplify stories that connect and celebrate our diverse school community!
What we’re looking for:
- Students who speak Chinese, Spanish, or native English (or near native) to support the production of our multilingual podcast
- Ability to create engaging and relevant content and assist with podcast production
- Students will ideally have podcasting, social media or journalism experience
- Promotion of podcasts, ISF social media and news through your school channels

This Program Assistant role provides support to key foundation activities, helping ensure smooth operations, especially during the peak times of June-August.
We’re looking for a volunteer to:
- Collate and summarize annual end of year reports (June/July)
- To create a simple database for school curriculum nights and relevant events (August)

Students are at the center of all we do. The student voice is vital to the work of the Foundation by raising awareness about our mission, and in making connections between our organization and those we serve.

Community Volunteer Opportunities
Our ambassadors are advocates in each of our schools, providing a critical link between the foundation, the school and the school community. This role will involve attending school events to promote ISF and inviting the community to ISF events.
What we’re looking for:
- A connected school community member who is interested in learning about Issaquah School Foundation programs and sharing their knowledge with other parents
- A good communicator, verbal and social media
- Enthusiasm to support students

Flexible Hours • Remote and on-site • Great for someone who enjoys connecting with the community
We are seeking an approachable, adult volunteer to support our Cultural Bridges program through community outreach, event participation, and program promotion. This role involves engaging with families to share the importance of the program, representing the program at Cultural Bridges, Issaquah School District and community events, plus assisting with occasional administrative tasks.
Volunteers must speak English and ideally one of the following languages: Spanish, Chinese (Mandarin), Vietnamese, Russian, Arabic, or Japanese.
This opportunity is well-suited for individuals who enjoy interacting with diverse communities, can speak to families in both English and another language and are passionate about fostering multicultural understanding and connection.

The Donor Database Assistant helps maintain and organize donor information within our CRM system. This role works closely with the Donor Database Coordinator as part of the Resource Development team.
We are looking for an adult volunteer who has strong attention to detail, is comfortable working with spreadsheets or database tools (training provided) and can maintain confidentiality.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to, updating donor contact information, assisting with data clean-up projects, entering event attendee/auction information.

Do you have previous grant writing experience, in a non-profit organization, and have access to paid subscription database(s)? Come and volunteer with us to aid our fundraising efforts by researching grant opportunities that align with our mission and programs.
Your role will be to identify local, state, federal, and foundation grant opportunities, review guidelines to determine funding fit, track deadlines, requirements, and contacts, and summarize promising opportunities
What we’re looking for:
- Previous grant research or grant writing experience ideally in a nonprofit organization
- Strong research and written communication skills
- Access and familiarity with online research tools
We are ideally looking for someone who can join us in the school summer break for initial on-site meetings.

Are you a current or former finance professional interested in the Foundation mission and helping to ensure the financial health of the organization? The Finance Committee provides financial oversight of the Foundation, guides all financial policies and activities, and ensures board membership is appropriately trained in understanding the organization’s finances. The Committee may also advise the executive director and appropriate staff on financial priorities and system operations, dependent upon committee specific expertise. The committee meets remotely once per month with occasional review work between meetings.
What we’re looking for:
- CPA or comparable expertise/experience
- Non-profit accounting experience is a plus but not required

We are seeking an enthusiastic volunteer to help secure raffle prize donations for our Monster Mash 5K in the fall of 2026.
In this role, you’ll work with our Director of Strategic Partnerships, reach out to local businesses, community partners, and donors to request prize contributions, keep a simple record of confirmed items, and ensure that collected prizes are delivered to the event location on time.
