FutureMap allows individuals from our business community to actively support Issaquah school district student career exploration and development by engaging in online discussion boards, guest speaking, company tours, hosted job shadows, and after-school internships.
FutureMap online career coaches provide valuable support to students whether they choose to engage remotely or locally, or in a single or multiple-activity manner. Rolling out to students in early 2017, career coach registration is available to businesses and individuals available now.
Serve your community, build brand awareness, and invest in the next generation. Develop your potential future workforce by empowering them with the skills and training your company needs to succeed and thrive.
Students currently lack equal access to work-based learning activities and resources. The workload for the six career specialists that currently serve approximately 6000 students is exceedingly high; FutureMap encourages students to engage in self-directed exploration and resources. By helping students connect the dots between their interests/skills and potential career paths earlier, FutureMap provides students the opportunity to better prepare for post-secondary success.
Help students understand their career options by providing professional expertise and hand-on industry experience. FutureMap has an engagement option that fits for all individuals looking to support our students. Engagement can range from answering the occasional email to hosting after-school internships.
Establish a stronger local business presence by recruiting multiple career coaches from your company to showcase the different areas of expertise your company features. View the FutureMap Company Sheet.
As a community-powered non-profit organization, we value and welcome your involvement. Your donation of time and talent will directly impact the quality of education our students receive.
