Video: Did you know? The Issaquah Schools Foundation offers ISD teachers and staff free access to Youth Mental Health First Aid®.

Because 1 in 5 youth will experience a mental health challenge, it is crucial that adults know how to identify, understand, and respond to young people showing signs of mental health or substance use concerns. Youth Mental Health First Aid® training helps to build knowledge, skills, and awareness of resources to support students who are experiencing mental health challenges. Training sessions are led by mental health first aid instructor Michelle Brode, who shares her expertise and years of experience working in schools, supporting students, staff, and parents. Educators who attend also receive clock-hours towards their certification.

We ask, you answer! Each week we will provide a brief recap of what we have learned so far from our parent and community polls. You can expect to hear about some of the questions we’re receiving, and some of the data that we have collected so far.

We want to hear what you have to say! It’s never too late to participate in our polls! Let us know how you feel about this week’s focus topic and take the survey anytime that works for you and your schedule!

Join Cornell Atwater, our Executive Director, as she reviews some of what we've learned this week!

The Nourish Every Mind Auction is live! Online only through May 15th!

Don't miss out on your chance to bid on items you can't find elsewhere: from exciting school experiences and special graduation gifts for our students, to great getaways, dining and exceptional wines for you! Find the NEM Auction online at https://isf.schoolauction.net/nemauction2022.

A highlight of our month-long Nourish Every Mind event is the online auction that excites families about supporting both our local businesses and our local students! The auction is a prominent focus of our programming at the beginning May and then we transition to an inspiring conclusion to bring our community together around the shared effort to ensure that kids have what they need to learn.

All proceeds from the auction support students in every school in the district by helping fund the programs and grants provided by the Issaquah Schools Foundation. A round of applause for our generous donors for providing so many great items this year. Now don't delay - check out all that you can bid on today!
